It’s December, and you know what that means, right? Yup, it’s time for the first art exhibit of the school-year, and you are officially invited!

The end of the first quarter of the school-year means our students are working hard towards showcasing the results from the many workshops they’ve experienced so far. Including painting, video, and game design. This time around artist in residence Tim Breukers will be presenting the results of his four month residency on Curaçao and at IBB.

About the artist | Tim Breukers

Breukers (Breda, 1985) loves to play while creating, taking inspiration from all that surrounds him. Breukers is known for his sizable clay structures, but when faced with the realities of living on a small island in the Caribbean, he quickly saw that this residency would take quite a different and unexpected direction.

Join us on the 15th to learn more about how Breukers was motivated to experience and ultimately create with a new medium.

Student exhibition

Our students have been working hard and learning a lot about not only new techniques, but also themselves. They’ve been receiving their usual workshops in color theory, perspective and composition, and have also learned more about conceptualizing their thoughts through video assignments, essay writing, painting on large canvasses, and even developing their own games.

Students will be showcasing their best and favorite works of this new school-year. Visitors will also be able to play the student designed and built games. Come see them, ask questions, and learn more about what the life of an art student is all about here at IBB.

Join us next week Thursday, December 15, 2022, and come see, learn and experience the works for yourself. New potential students will also have the opportunity to ask questions and hear more about next year’s application procedure. Don’t miss it!
