Between the 25th of September and the 29th of November, Timothy Voges (IBB alumnus 2012), and Iriée Zamblé will be working in an open atelier in the exhibition hall of the Rembrandt house.
Rembrandt’s house was a creative breeding ground. Rembrandt did not work here by himself; many students also made art here, sometimes as many as four or five at the same time. Now, almost 400 years later, we are bring this back. A new generation of artists will have the opportunity to create new work with a contemporary look at the art of Rembrandt’s time and the world of today. This autumn Iriée Zamblé and Timothy Voges will have their studio in the exhibition hall. They will reflect on the themes of the exhibition Living/Time: old age, transience, strength and vulnerability. Zamblé and Voges will stay in the exhibition hall at the same time and alternately – sometimes alone, sometimes together – be at work and show existing work.
