Instituto Buena Bista (IBB) is proud to announce that on the 31st of May 2018 four of its students will be opening their exhibition ‘Ora Marshe Para Ketu’ (when the market stops moving) at the Marshe Nobo / New Market in Punda.
Duvan Duran, Lakisha Apostel, Jeancarlo Balootje and Yuteni Martis spent the last couple of months working on this presentation that focuses on the market where this exhibition is held. The essence of this exhibition is a combination between the result of the experience and research on Marshe Nobo, the cultural value of Marshe Nobo, and the vision of what a shop in Marshe Nobo could look like.
Marshe Nobo is the newer of the two markets in downtown Punda, Willemstad. It usually houses a variety of stalls selling all kinds of local and Caribbean wares. Currently it also houses the kitchens usually present in the Old Market as the old market building is being renovated.
The exhibition will open on the 31st of May at 12:00 and will be open till the 21st of June. It can be visited between the hours of 10:00 and 17:00 daily.
