With the start of All You Can Art 3 we also got the start of the third edition of our summer school.
The students started with a performance led by Roxette Capriles on the opening day. During this performance they clad themselves in aluminium foil and in a procession moved to the opening of the ceremony. At the end they all break free of their bling-y confinements.
Their first week was under the guidance of David Bade. The students were introduced to Bade’s ‘catch of the day’ concept. Each day they were to write / sketch something that caught their attention during the day. These moments would then be furthered developed into works.
During the second week the students are working with artists Rieneke de Vries and Elke Uitentuis. Under the guidance of these artists the students are analizing and thinking about the plight of the refugee / undocumented immigrant in The Netherlands.
