On Thursday, April 27, the Dutch artist in residence at Instituto Buena Bista (IBB), Steven Jouwersma, will present his work as a culmination of his residency. He will do this with a great extravaganza of artistic expression by presenting performances and an art talk about his work.

Jouwersma will be presenting his ‘Spektakulo di Kabes di Kadushi’. This sculpture was (partly) made during the 2017 carnival parade of Curacao using actual cacti. During his talk he will elaborate on the process that led to the ‘Kabes di Kadushi’ and his drive as an artist.
During this night students of IBB will also do performances that they created during a workshop with Jouwersma.

As part of the UNIARTE program Arturo Desimone, guest of Uniarte, will declaim a number of poems; and as usual in Casa Moderna, there’s the open mic stage for freestyle hiphop.

Spektakulo di Kabes di Kadushi will be held at Uniarte in the Casa Moderna building.
