IBB was recently asked to create the entrance gate to the new Children’s Museum Curacao. Together with David Bade and intern Samantha Vlaming the IBB students worked for a month on what would become a duo of sculptures. Starting from the idea of two figures the students developed two very different sculptures. One shows a watcher in a more figurative representation, while the other takes a more abstract approach to the concept.
We’ve had some –smokey– setbacks during the build process, but in the end we are happy with the results. You will soon be seeing more of these sculptures as we start organizing workshop around them with visitors of the museum.
