On friday, 21st of October 2016, IBB celebrated their 10th anniversary with the opening of their new multipurpose building Esmeralda.
Esmeralda will be the new gallery and exhibition space of IBB where it will be exhibiting parts of it’s extensive collection of artworks made on Curacao by both local and international artists. Esmeralda will also house IBB’s large collection of art books; counting more than 2000 books on art.
The night was opened with words by Ms. Birgit Donker, director of the Mondrian Fund of The Netherlands. Mondriaan Fund has been a great supporter of IBB from the very start and is one of our main funders.
