A native of Morvant, Trinidad – Damian Marcano started his film career on the North Coast shores of his home country. His first short film ‘The Little Boy & The Ball’ was followed up by the award-winning drama “God Loves The Fighter”. Marcano loves to keep the island aesthetic in his work. His latest short film offering of ‘GIANTS’ is currently being turned into a feature (‘BASTARDS’) as audiences begin to see it on the festival circuit.
Also dabbling in the new frontier of television; something he is familiar with having had numerous music videos on BET and MTV; he offers up ‘CHEE$E’. “The thing is I have always been trying to share my slice of life with the world. I’ve been on the road for over 12 months with God Loves. I would like to take this global. Art is supposed to inspire so who is to say that stops at these shores.” Marcano hopes to keep the island aesthetic a part of his work as he continues his feature film career.
