The Instituto Buena Bista (IBB), the center for contemporary art that has been situated within the walls of the Klinika Capriles since 2010 and where young talents are prepared for a future in the visual arts, would like to invite you to a special lecture / presentation.
The IBB has joined in an exchange with art center Ateliers’89 (www.ateliers89.com) on Aruba. It’s an artist initiative, like the IBB, established by visual artist Elvis Lopez. Ateliers’98 runs an artist in residence program similar to the one that IBB has. The artists that are spending time on the respective islands and at the institutions trough the BKVB Fund in The Netherlands are now switching position and location.
For this event artists Tarja Szaraniec (www.tarjaszaraniec.com) and Orpheu de Jong (www.orpheudejong.com) shall visit Curacao this week and our own guest artist, the slovak-dutch artist Lucia Luptakova (www.lucialuptakova.com) shall travel back with them to present her project that she has been working on at the IBB on Aruba. The two artists from Aruba shall give a presentation about their work and we would like to invite you to experience it on coming Friday February 25th. We will begin at 17:00 hours and your presence is highly appreciated.
