Fro the celebration of the first year of status aparte within the dutch kingdom, IBB was asked to create a piece of work that would be unveiled during the nightly celebrations. We were asked to task the students with making works that show the future they envision for Curacao, or how they see that Curacao will be in the future. Following news of a new-coming space port on Curacao and the controversy around this, it was decided that the structure we were going to build would resemble a rocket taking off. The paintings made by the students would then become the body of this rocket. Check out the pictures for an idea how it turned out.
