Welcome at the Instituto Buena Bista (IBB) website; the Curaçao Center for Contemporary Art that started in september 2006.
The IBB offers an orientation course for young talents whom we – as a team – select through scouting and then guide and support towards a future in the creative field. To give a broad as possible view on the contemporary art field to our students, visitors and participants of our workshops (ArteSwa projects) within the community, we invite visual artists from all over the globe to Curaçao to give us new views – ‘buena bista’s’ – on the possibilities of art. This website tries to give you a complete view of our program but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions: info@institutobuenabista.com
You can visit us on weekdays between 1.00 and 6.00 pm at Mohikanenweg 8 (at the Capriles clinic. Sign in at the security and as for the ‘Orkidia’ pavilion)
Artist Jean Boclé has been keeping a diary of his workshop with the IBB students on his site. It can be found here http://www.jeanfrancoisbocle.com/site.php?itemid=34&id=280&genre=6&idversion=290&idsub=48 and provides an insight into the workshop and some images that were taken.
