IBB has the great pleasure to be able to congratulate three alumni on their recent graduation from various art academies in The Netherlands.

Roxette Capriles, Timothy Voges, and Kiem Loon ‘Elvis’ Chen all graduated with flying colors after successfully going through the Fine Arts programs at their respective academies.

Kiem Loon graduated from the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague with an untitled work analizing our memories, how we deal with our past, and the restlessness to belong somewhere.

Timothy Voges graduated with honors from the Academy of Arts in Utrecht (HKU) with a series of paintings titled ‘For as long as we both have lived.’

Roxette Capriles graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy of Arts in Rotterdam. Her work, titled ‘Rock on Fire’, is an assemblage of items recollecting stories of belonging and separation. Roxette was one of the proud recepients of the ‘Drempelprijs’ awarded to three graduating students by the WdKA and the city of Rotterdam.

The students and their works will be in our All You Can Art exhibition in the Kunsthal Rotterdam till August 21st. Roxette will also be functioning as a substitute teacher for three months at IBB on Curacao from September onward.
